Correct Maintenance Methods For LGMA Wheel Loaders
Maintaining the LGMA wheel loader can effectively extend its service life, reduce the incidence of failure, and safeguard its performance and safety during operation. We will introduce you how to properly maintain and care for the loader:
Check the machine every day before starting
1. Check the instrumentation.
2. Check the level of fuel, coolant and lubricant.
3. Check hoses and tubes for leaks, wear and damage.
4. Inspect machinery on tour for general phenomena, sounds, heat, etc.
5. Check for slack or missing parts.
Checking the cumulative schedule of operations
The Job Accumulation Schedule determines when your machine requires scheduled maintenance.
The period on the Periodic Maintenance Schedule is based on operation under normal conditions.
If you operate your machine in extremely harsh, dusty or humid working conditions, you will need to lubricate it more often than specified in the Scheduled Maintenance.
Maintaining the machine during specified periods
Apply all recommended maintenance methods in the ‘Important Maintenance Procedures’.
1. Fuel, coolant, lubricating oil and grease must be used to match the ambient temperature.
2. Do not adjust the engine control throttle and hydraulic system safety valve.
3. Protect electrical components from exposure to water and water vapour.
4. Do not disassemble electrical components such as sensors.
5. Use genuine original parts.
Windscreen washer fluid
Use a suitable windscreen washer fluid and ensure that no dirt is allowed to enter.
Clean oil and grease
Use clean lubricating oil and grease and keep the lubricating oil or grease containers clean and do not allow debris to mix with the lubricating oil or grease.
Check discharged oil or used cartridges
After changing the oil or replacing the cartridge, check the old oil and cartridge for metal shavings and contaminants. If you find a large amount of metal shavings and impurities, report them to a competent person and take appropriate measures.
Avoid mixing oils
Do not use mixed oils of different grades. If it is necessary to use oil of a different grade, all old oil must be cleaned from the machine.
Lock the inspection cover
When performing maintenance with the inspection cover open, use the locking lever to lock the inspection cover in a fixed position.
Venting the hydraulic system
When the hydraulic unit has been repaired or replaced, or when the hydraulic lines have been disassembled and installed, the air in the lines must be exhausted.
Installation of hydraulic hoses
1. When removing parts with a 0-ring or gasket seal, clean the mounting surface and replace with new parts. Be careful not to forget to install the 0-ring and gasket. 2. When installing a hose, do not twist or bend the hose into a small diameter loop. This can damage the hose and significantly shorten its life.
Checking the electrical wiring
1. Check fuses for damage or incompatible capacity, check circuits for signs of breaks or shorts, and also check terminals for looseness and tighten loose parts.
‘Starter motor’ and ’Generator wiring’
2. Check the ‘battery’ in particular,
3. For investigation and correction of the cause, contact your dealer.
Checking the air conditioner
Make sure the air conditioner is off.
Checking the instruments
Check that the instruments are in good working order and that the lights, indicators, horn and windscreen wipers are working properly. If there is any abnormality, please contact the dealer.
